Low Starch Horse Feed-Triple Crown's Low Starch Horse Feed Formula
Triple Crown Low Starch Horse Formula
Is A High Quality Low Starch Horse Feed
Lower carbs, no corn, molasses or alfalfa meal for horses who aren't the easiest keepers.
Not all horses are easy keepers; some require those additional calories for higher levels of performance or elevated levels of metabolism. Since Triple Crown Low Starch has lower carbs than hay and pasture, it can be used as a complete feed to replace all or part of (the forage) portion of the diet, which is typically unknown for its carbohydrate and starch levels. Triple Crown Low Starch contains no corn, molasses, or alfalfa meal, ingredients many horse owners believe cause erratic behavior. By utilizing good quality fiber sources and added fat, including rice bran and flaxseed, we can replace a number of the calories that are sacrificed by keeping carbs low.
Triple Crown Low Starch also has a low Potassium level (0.75%) that makes it a very good choice for horses diagnosed with HYPP. Again, the fiber in Low Starch will allow you to replace part of your hay that can be as high as 1.5% to 2.5% potassium.
Triple Crown offers other reduced carbohydrate, beet pulp based diets for those horses requiring higher levels of calories depending on the life stage, hay type and quality: Triple Crown Senior, Triple Crown Complete and Triple Crown Growth.

Triple Crown Low Starch can be fed to all horses one year of age or older. Feed enough Triple Crown Low Starch to maintain desired body condition and energy level along with hay, and/or pasture, water and salt. If feeding less than 6 pounds per day of Triple Crown Low Starch to horses weighing 900 pounds or more, also feed additional minerals and vitamins supplied by either Triple Crown 30% or Triple Crown 12% Supplement.
