Q. How long have you been riding?
A. Since I was 4 years old, so almost 30 years!
Q. Can you tell us about your Equine experiences? What disciplines do you do?
A. My main discipline is 3 Day eventing, but I ride clients horses in HJ and Dressage shows as well.!
Q. What disciplines and breeds did you learn to ride on and how old were you?
A. I was 4 years old, and rode many different breeds, but mostly thoroughbreds and quarter horses. I rode western for a short time, but then switched to English because I wanted to jump!!
Q. What made you choose the disciplines you train, teach, and compete in?
A. The trainer that i grew up riding with did 3 day eventing, I took one cross country ride, and I was HOOKED !
Q. Who has helped teach you the art of three day eventing? Do you attend any clinics and by whom? Do you offer riding clinics?
A. I have been fortunate enough to be able to learn from the very best in the sport! Karen and David O’Connor, Bruce and Buck Davidson, Jim Graham, Boyd Martin and Phillip Dutton are some of the riders I’ve been lucky enough to learn from.!
Q. If you could clinic or train with any top rider who would it be?
A. I frequently host clinics with Buck Davidson, Boyd Martin and Jim Graham, I also ride several times a year with Karen O’Connor!
Q. If there was another discipline I could try it would be:
A. Polo, it looks like a ton of fun
Q. How many horse shows do you attend a year?
Q. How many horses are you currently training and competing with now?
A. I only have one horse that I own and compete right now. I also own one that my clients compete. My parents have a racehorse going now, and when he is done racing he will be my next event horse. I’m looking forward to that!
Q. How would you describe the Ïcharacters of some of these horses?
A. Elliott is my main competition horse. I’ve had him since he came off that track at 4 years old, he’s 18 now. He’s just as spunky and energetic as he was as a 4 year old. He’s very quirky and spooky, but he will do anything that I ask him to. He’s a fantastic, athletic horse and he has a HUGE heart.
Q. What has been some of your most memorable past accomplishments?
A. I was the Area V Adult Rider Champion in 2008-2011. Elliott was the USEA Area 5 Preliminary horse horse of the year for 3 years in a row. I was pretty happy about that!
Q. What are your goals for the future?
A. To keep producing happy, sound horses that enjoy their job, and are able to do it for years and years!
Q. What other pets do you own?
A. 3 Dogs, and 3 Cats
Q. When not riding what are your other hobbies?
A. Sleeping and reading! All my free time is spent in the saddle or doing other horse related tasks!
Q. How did you hear about Triple Crown feeds?
A. I was researching feed because Elliott is an EXTREMELY picky eater, and he’s hard to keep weight on. TC kept coming up as one of the best feeds. I gave it a try, and never looked back, that was over 5 years ago now. It has made a huge difference in Elliott.
Q. What TC feed products do you use?
A. TC Complete
